CRYSTAL & TRAVIS'S WEDDING
Crystal’s FULL FEATURE about her wedding in WINTHROP, WASHINGTON.
YOGA SESSION & RITUAL
Travis and I truly love to celebrate, and when it was time to plan our own wedding, we were a bit stumped. How do you plan a huge thing – when you love Every. Single. Thing? Where do you start? Shoot for the moon? Keep it simple? Turns out – go with the flow.
GETTING READY & FIRST LOOK
I consider myself an average, basic lady, my visions of being a ‘bride’ aren’t too far from the norm. Dress? Pretty! Hair? Pretty! Makeup? Pretty, please! While I don’t believe I’d fall into the ‘Bridezilla’ category, I did have certain dreams and expectations of what my wedding day would look like. I wanted the dress – check. Good food – check. Friends and family – check and check!
THE WEDDING CEREMONY
I wasn’t nervous before the ceremony, my secret is out. I could have skipped down that aisle! Our ceremony was at the end of a long path from the yurt to a platform, and the wind and sun had been battering everything all day. Yet, once I was cued by Ben Howard’s “Old Pine” to begin my walk, after my nephews, after my mothers, arm in arm with my fathers, the wind suddenly hushed.
BRIDE & GROOM PORTRAITS
I keep one of my wedding photos on my desk, tilted sliiiightly outward for all to see, and to freaking admire. After the ceremony as we danced off the platform and Kristina swept us off to take photos – YES! Drinks in hand, we joyously tramped through the brush to get at that sunset.
