With one week until University of Nevada, Reno’s commencement, I cannot contain my excitement! There’s been so much going on this semester that it is hard to catch my breath. However, with the completion of my most dreaded final (PHYS 152), I am starting to realize just how soon the end of my undergraduate career is. If time is flying by this fast, then I am sure that our last summer in Reno, Nevada will be gone in the blink of an eye.
Last week, my family supported me at UNR’s Honors Convocation. Tux, our 4 month-old “Guide Dog for the Blind” puppy was allowed to accompany me on stage as Dr. Valentine, the director of the honors program, placed the sash over me. It was a delight to share this moment with so many of the people that have stood by me through the years of hard work, frustration, and times where I needed the most encouragement. With only a few minor revisions to my honors thesis, it is nearly finished! My honors thesis defense was a success last Friday, although nerve-racking at the same time.
Until this point, I have been taking every day at a time to get through the past couple of months. Thank goodness I only have seven days left!
